Social welfare and group marriage programmes for the community

The trust organizes group marriages to reduce marriage expenses, helps brides benefit from Gujarat Government schemes (Saat Phera Group Marriage & Kunvarbai Mameru), builds community infrastructure including Samajwadi Hall, and supports families during Ramadan and natural calamities across Hingora villages.

Trust Commitment & Objectives

Mass Wedding

  • To avoid extravagant expenses incurred in marriage, to organize mass weddings and to make efforts for maximum number of marriages to take place in a group.
  • To make efforts for happy affluent families to join the mass marriage so that equality appears in the society.
  • Mass marriage saves the time and money of the whole society. So mass marriage is an excellent medium.

Other Activities

  • To provide financial assistance to needy families during natural calamities as well as during Ramadan every year.
  • To make efforts for reconciliation by removing internal differences in the society.
  • To build a jointly owned community hall to hold community meetings and programs for the entire Hingora community.
  • Future construction of hostel for students in Bhuj city, the headquarters of Kutch.

Gujarat Government Marriage Schemes — Benefits for Brides

Every year, Hingora Education & Welfare Trust helps brides (Kanya) receive benefits under two Gujarat Government schemes through the group marriage programme.

1. Saat Phera Group Marriage Scheme (સાત ફેરા સમૂહ લગ્ન યોજના)

₹12,000

  • Each bride (Kanya) receives ₹12,000 under this scheme.
  • The Trust receives ₹3,000 from the Government for organising the group marriage.

2. Kunvarbai Mameru Scheme (કુંવરબાઈ મામેરુ યોજના)

₹12,000

  • Each bride (Kanya) receives ₹12,000 directly from the Government under this scheme.
Total benefit per bride (Kanya) ₹24,000

Combined benefit from both Gujarat Government schemes for every bride in the group marriage programme.

  • All required documents and application formalities for both schemes are completed through the Trust on behalf of the families.
  • Marriage registration is also arranged through the Trust at the village Gram Panchayat.
